The Thrae are creatures of the wild, thought to have been brought to life by
the latent magic of the wildlands themselves. While their ancestors were
purely wild-dwellers, modern Thrae live in a wide variety of places, from
forests to mountains to towns. They are usually organized into
self-sustaining communities called Kin-homes.
Thrae have a strong connection to nature regardless of their home. They
often take their names from features of the natural world that they (or
their parents) wanted to guide or influence them in life.
Thrae stand a bit shorter than Keldari at around five feet. They have wild
hair and bear a vestigial set of antlers growing out of their foreheads.
Some style their antlers or adorn them with jewelry, others saw them them
off to look less wild.
Thrae do not die of old age, and there have been documented cases of some
living for over a thousand years. In practice though, most live for around
200 years before a disease or an accident takes them.
