Anja, The Guide

Goddess of the cycle of life and death, fate, and change. She guides souls into
the world, shepherds them through life, and when the time comes, she will be
there to judge and guide them to the afterlife. Priests invoke her protection
during birth rituals, when one is sick, and at funerals. As well, those making
great changes in their life will ask Anja's blessing that they may succeed. She
is represented as a silver-haired and silver-eyed child, woman, or grandmother
depending on the type of blessing sought and the stage of life of the seeker.
Followers of Anja are seekers of the Balance, both in the world and in their own
lives. They believe strongly in fate, and look for signs in the world of what
theirs might be so they can fulfill it and join Anja in the afterlife. Anja's
Fate Clerics seek to bolster their community, but can take up arms in her name
when the Balance is altered.
