Yrena, The Wavewender

Goddess of storms, the sea, weather, travel, and booze. Yrena is temperamental,
and her mood can change in an instant from a calm day to a hailstorm. Sailors
often try to curry her favor or appease her wrath by pouring out a flagon of rum
into the sea to slake her thirst before a long journey. Other travelers may
offer ale or set out an extra glass for Yrena around the campfire in the evening
to invite her to look after them on their journey. Yrena can be depicted in many
different ways, but she is always holding a drinking vessel with a lightning
bolt upon it. It is said that her Storm Clerics, likewise, often accept
offerings of drink in return for blessings. Or for not calling down the wrath of
a gale upon the unfaithful.
