When the Blight came, it devoured you. Perhaps you made a valiant stand
against it, or maybe you were caught by a monstrous Blightbeast while trying
to flee. Regardless, you were lost to the Blight and presumed dead a long
time ago.

But something miraculous happened: you didn't die. One day, you just woke up
somewhere in Altheria, having not aged a day since the Blight took you.
People like you who mysteriously turn up in Altheria after a long time have
come to be called The Lost.

No one is quite sure how one survives such an ordeal, though there is plenty
of speculation. Perhaps a divine entity has brought you back to fulfill some
kind of destiny, or perhaps your own force of will somehow guided you
through space and time to Altheria. Or maybe it's all a fluke of Fate.

As is the case for any encounter with the Blight, and yours very much in
particular, your memory of what happened is likely gone or hazy at best. And
it might even be the case that the Blight took much more of your memories,
and your previous life might be hazy like a half-forgotten dream. You might
bear Blight-touched scars on your body, or you might not. One thing is clear
though: you are very much alive.
