When the Blight came, your home was lost and you had no choice but to flee.
It crept across the land insidiously and steadily, devouring everything and
everyone in its path, leaving behind a trail of rot and devastation. Some
had enough time to gather their things and leave, others were not so lucky.

Your escape from the cataclysm was a difficult journey, and many were lost
along the way. But you persevered and survived against great odds, and you
eventually found yourself in the Last Bastion of Altheria with other
refugees who managed to escape.

You may have traveled a short distance or a great one, by land or by sea,
alone or with other members of your community. You probably had no idea
where you would end up, where would be safe, or who would you find there.
Run-ins with the Blight or Blightbeasts may have stolen memories from you.

It's been a number of years since your arrival in Altheria, and the city has
grown in the meantime. Many things have changed since those early days.
Maybe you took up a job, tried to rebuild your life, or maybe you were
content to live on the margins. Regardless, your story is heavily influenced
by this journey you took, what you left behind, and what you have found in
your new home.
