Signet

Signet is a strategic card game that dates back to the Old Kingdoms era, before
the Blight. First popularized by the nobility to resolve minor disputes of
precedence without resorting to open conflict, it quickly spread to all strata
of society. It has gone by many names with many differen local rule variants,
but Signet is the most common version.

Each of the ten cards in a Signet deck represents a rank within the old social
hierarchy, and the game is won by the player who can most effectively leverage
their cards.

Both players begin with identical hands of cards numbered from 1 to 10. Each
round, players secretly select a card to play, and reveal them simultaneously.
The player who reveals the higher-valued card wins the round and gains a point.
In the event of a tie, no points are awarded. Each card may be played only once,
so players must choose strategically and try to predict their opponent's plays.

A player's hand contains one of each of these cards, with values indicated:

    Fool (1)
    Drifter (2)
    Artisan (3)
    Merchant (4)
    Scholar (5)
    Knight (6)
    Marshal (7)
    Councillor (8)
    Regent (9)
    Sovereign (10)

Players use the CHOOSE command to select from their remaining cards. If a card
is not chosen quickly, the player will automatically play the lowest available
card remaining in their hand.

Issuing a challenge for a game of Signet requires a Signet deck to be in your
possession.
